Live a Day in the Life of a Firefighter/EMT

Fun fact: Many fire departments (including ours!!) offer ride-alongs, which allow civilians to ride in the passenger seat of an emergency vehicle and observe a fire fighter/EMT's work day. (Eligibility for ride-alongs varies by department).

Last week, our department's PIO (Public Information Officer) had the opportunity to visit/shadow/ride along with two different Fire Departments in Colorado!

HUGE THANK YOU's to Colorado Springs Fire Department and South Metro Fire Rescue for the amazing opportunity to see how Fire & Rescue departments operate in areas very different to Lopez Island!

Consider doing a ride along in any city you are visiting, or call our station at 360-468-2991 to set up a ride along on Lopez Island for yourself!
